She’s beautiful, intelligent and very vocal. Meet my guest for today; an old girl of St Louis Senior High school.
For those who’re here for the first time, I’m Alby and this is 10 Questions From Nana Cady
Good day Slopsan and welcome to 10QFNC
Thank you very much Alby
Q1. Who is Eve Ange?
Quite profound a question. I’m Evangeline Osabutey, a Cake Artist and Pastry Chef, and a student of the English Language as well. I’m a young and ambitious woman who’s quite jovial and playful yet a goal-getter.
Q2. Were you ever a victim of bullying as a child?
Yes, there was a time my big brother and I encountered such growing up. We were frightened and depressed. My brother tried playing hard boy and stuff but we were never able to voice it because of the fear we lived in.
Q3. Does that experience have any influence on you being a feminist?
No, not at all.. haha. We live in a part of the world where you’d have to be a victim or gain experience before you can learn or unlearn but I believe it shouldn’t be so because wrong is wrong. Every feminist has a voice that calls her or him from within and prepares her for the journey though, but for me, the bullying never really intimidated long enough to fuel feminism.
Q4. Quite a number of people believe “modern day feminists” have lost the true meaning of what it stands for. What’s your take on that?
Well, if you read more on feminism, you’d realize that in very simple words, feminists rise at a time where women need saviours or there’s some level of inequality and the woman is at a disadvantageous position so there are many waves of feminism that spring up per time. Olden day feminists advocated for rights to education, vote, etc, and now we have them, so why continue to order for something you already have? Modern day feminists are advocating for things that are left undone. If you’d look at our society today you’d realize that there’s still a greater level of unfairness in our society and this time, it’s socio-cultural. The modern day feminists have their works cut out for them and it shall be done.
Q5. There are verbal attacks on feminists esp in our part of the world from some men. If you had one message to send across to them, what would it be?
Yes that’s true. Fact is, in our part of the world, men have been pampered to the point where they have swollen egos and this is their comfort zone. Nobody gets happy when you disrupt their comfort. All we’re saying is that hold each and every individual responsible for their actions, especially men. My message would be quite brief; feminists are not “Man haters”, equality is what we want. If you believe that a man can marry multiple wives, so be it, give that right to the woman too. If a cheating man is normal, a cheating woman should be too, and so on because society can’t seem to hold men responsible for their irresponsibility.
Q6. Enough of equality talks. Girl, your cakes are top notch! How do you handle the tough competition all around?
Oh thank you Alby☺️. I developed the love for cakes at a tender age of 3, if I remember. And since then I’ve had the chance of eating cakes on my birthdays, kind courtesy; my Aunty Nancy. In year 3 in senior high school, I got obsessed with not just eating cakes but watching videos on how to make them and it’d stir up my desire to want to make them by myself so I started following up tutorials on YouTube and with constant practice with try and errors, here we are. I’ve been into baking for 9 years now where I was a hobbyist for 4years and ventured into business 5years ago. I always love to do things that stand out, (that’s my signature) so I always make my cakes such that I can go out, come back, meet them and go like “wow” {to myself 😁} but for the competition, I never get so bothered about it because I believe we’re all different and unique and it takes a lot more than a pretty cake for customers to come for your cakes and want to come back again some other time. Hence I work on everything I can to make that happen and if I’m on track, I’m good.
Q7. Is Eve single or dating?
Well I’m picky when it comes to guys but Yes I’m dating. It’s been three years already 😁.
Q8. “When will you marry” how you do react to that question?
That question always tickles me to laugh hard. It really doesn’t go down well with me though, but I try so hard to ignore people who ask such questions. I always tell them I’ll prefer to marry late, marry well and have it all fruitful than to marry in a rush because of unnecessary pressure, and marry wrong.
Q9. Why are Slopsans SO SO JEALOUS of Adehye3?
Oh no you didn’t just ask that!😁. We don’t!! It is the other way round believe me. Trust me, it is the other way round 😆 but I do have answers to why adehye3s envy slopsans so ask me that instead 😆.
I do the questioning… thank you lolx
😆😆😆😆
Q10. Name 3 old girls you miss the most since you left shs but haven’t set eyes on (if there are any)
Well, I miss a lot of girls! Narrowing it down to three would be so hard trust me 😁. I miss my daughter Chantelle DeCardi-Quao, Nykesha Acheampong Mensah, and Faida Adama. I just miss a lot of people.
Eve, it’s been great pleasure having you here but before we call it a day, drop your contacts for the cake business
