Hello besties, before I introduce my guest today, I want to remind you how much you’re loved. Thank you so much for being an ardent reader of 10QFNC since day one.
Being the 10th episode for season 6, I definitely had to bring someone whose energy is super contagious. If this is your first time on my blog, then hi, I’m Nana Cady and you’re more than welcome.
He goes by the Facebook name ‘Odadee Richiet‘ aka Richie T. Let’s move straight to the 10 questions for him
Hello Odadee, welcome to 10QFNC
Hi Alby. Thanks so much. I’m privileged
Q1. I know you’re an Odadee and an MC but obviously there’s more to you. Please, who are you?
I’m Richard Osei-Agyeman. I am from Ahafo Gyedu but was raised in Kumasi. I’m the first of four boys and a girl. I read Mathematics and Applied Statistics in KNUST at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. I have written Actuarial Professional Papers, so I currently work with an insurance company in Accra.
Q2. For someone who lived in Kumasi, didn’t Prempeh or Opoku Ware ‘catch your eye’?
Ikr. π. My headmistress wanted me to attend Opoku Ware. In fact growing up the schools I dreamt of were the ones I knew in Kumasi until I watched NSMQ 2005, that was Presec vs Persco. I admired their performance and vowed to attend that school. I remember when the school placement came and people heard that I was placed in Presec, they tried comforting me because they didn’t know the school. All they knew were Prempeh and Owass, apart from the few elite around. π They didn’t know it was the best
Haha, well, I love Presec and Persco as well.
Q3. Mathematics, you must be ‘shark’, huh?
Hmmmm. Back on campus. Everyone saw us as the future math teachers. The only class of students who respected math students were the Engineering students. π because they knew about Engineering Mathematics and how it tormented most of them. In fact that was just the basis of our Mathematics. Well, I love math.
Q4. How did MCing come into the picture?
π. Back on campus, I served as the PRO to different executive boards in my department. I used to be the moderator for most of the functions in the department too. It took a friend to draw my attention to that gift and I decided to give it a try in January 2019 and ever since then, I have enjoyed every bit of it. Those who really know me , do know that I’m the shy type but I believe they are surprised now.
Q5. Why should anyone book you?
I make the event lively for every guest irrespective of the different classes of people with regards to ages or social status. I sometimes go to the extent of helping you plan a wonderful event. Mc RichieT makes your event complete. I believe every event organiser deserves to give a fondable memory to his or her guests and I’m glad I am one of the finest around who can make that happen.
Q6. What did it mean to you winning Event MC of the year at the Floodlight Media Exellence Awards?
I was happy and felt motivated to work harder and to cherish friends and family. When you look at the professionals that were nominated, most of them had more experiences and much followers than I do but what made the difference was the love my family, friends and fans had for me. This is just the beginning of greater success stories. I can’t wait to get to the level of my role model in the industry.
Q7. Are you in a relationship?
Yeah, a wonderful one. I knew her back on campus during my national service but we weren’t friends. She’s an amazingly adorable lady and posses most of the qualities every proud boyfriend seeks
Q8. Why do men cheat?
π. There’s no guarantee for men to cheat but I think it’s because they fall in love for the wrong reasons
Uhmmm expatiate please
I believe when you choose a partner based on her looks alone, you would end up cheating every hour because you would definitely meet people with extra qualities. It takes discipline and commitment to keep a relationship and this is what most of us lack
Q9. Is there any incident back in SHS that makes you want to hide your face when you recall?
Actually, all the incidents back in SHS were memorable ones. I would rather want to experience them over again. π
Interesting lolx
Q10. What’s your take on the Ghana Awards House?
I think it is a good project because I believe a lot of intellectual consultations went into it. The problem now is probably the timing. There are other relevant pressing needs of Ghanaians. So such decisions in a time like this is similar to one using his school fees for Christmas attire. Yeah, very parallel to sound judgement
Richard, it’s been awesome interviewing you but we’ve come to the end of it. Anything you want say before we go?
Nice. I enjoyed every bit. I forgot to add that I write poems, quotes and other interesting articles during my leisure. You can check me out on richietblog.wordpress.com
